If there is chocolate they will eat it and oh and ah.

I got up early and prepared my banana sandwiches and froze them. It is two slices of banana with peanut butter in between. You freeze them for at least an hour. In the meantime I did a load of laundry and hung it at the other end of the courtyard where it is sunny. So far it has been a lovely day. I melted the chocolate in my version of a double boiler. My chef's pan with water in it and my 4 cup measuring cup with the chocolate in it. It turned into liquid so I was concerned whether it would stick or not. Well, I shouldn't have worried. Since I don't have toothpicks or skewers I used a fork to lower the frozen banana into the chocolate. I let the excess drip off and put it on tin foil since I don't have parchment paper. By the time I set it down and got the fork out, it was set.

I headed over to Katherine and the hotel and she was there this time along with her 2 kids. The little one was to young to eat these but the older one was more than willing. The first one she ate in bites. The second and third was right in the mouth, one bite. She really wanted more but I stopped there. I didn't want her to get sick.

I head back to the Super Mercado and in the back door. One for the man who runs the back and over to the meat dept. the guys from last night were there so I took pictures today. I went through the store, made sure I got all the cashiers and headed down the street to the Soda. I didn't tell anyone what was inside so they thought it was cookie and were so surprised when they bit in and discovered the banana and peanut butter. I need to get some more bananas. I love that I can keep them in the freezer.

The next 2 weeks will be busier than normal around here as it is a school break and we have the mineral baths and pools here so people come here rather than going all the way to the beach. The beaches are also very busy. It is $5.00 for an all day pass. The one down the street from the hotel - 25 meters you know - has 4 pools. One is large, one is medium, one for kids and one for babies. People usually wear swimsuits but since I don't have one I will have to do shorts and a tee shirt. We won't talk about my swimsuit purchase adventure.
