I had to go to Cartago on the bus today as the bank in Orosi does not like my debit cards. It was the same bank but at least one of my cards worked. Wells Fargo seems to have locked my account - either that or Heather ran off with my money after I put her on that account. I had given them the dates I would be in Costa Rica so I am not sure what is the problem. Anyway, I got money, got to the appliance store and gave Gerardo the rest that I owed him for the first 3 months. I am excited for Saturday. We went around the appliance store so I could show him what I had in mind for a stove, which is different than what he had in mind. I think he understood and agreed. I will see on Saturday.
It is raining off and on this afternoon - more than sprinkling.
The owner of the hotel just came and talked with me, wondering what they can do to increase their business. It is a very nice small guest house, in a good, close in location. I told her I would have to think about this.
I think I will spend some time the next two days wandering around town and finally make it to the church. I spent time in the grocery store this afternoon to see what I could find. Next week I will be busy making bread and cookies. I was able to bring a big container of yeast and 2 packages of wild rice in with me. Maybe some Chicken Wild Rice Soup will be on the menu.
My seat mate on the bus to Cartago.
