Back to the Soda

Since I don't have any food yet it was back to the Soda for a meal to go. The lady there is so nice and works so hard to have me understand. The name of the place is Rabbit's and I keep waiting for that to be the special of the day. Today the Casado was a stewed chicken with potatoes and Gallo Pinto and salad and fried bananas. The drink today was pineapple. It is very quite around the compound although this morning church livened things up. For a celebration they add guns being fired. Some of them sounded like cannons. The last time I experienced this was in San Isidro de el General for Easter. Today it is Corpus Christi.
It has been raining off and on all day. The soggy dog has kind of adopted me and sleeps by the door when he isn't chained up. The guard dogs are much quieter today so they must be getting used to me.
Tomorrow I will try and do laundry if I can find someone to give me a lesson. With all the rain, it may take days for the laundry to dry.
I am pretty much unpacked and have found spots for everything - until I bring more of course. There is plenty of room here for my sewing machine and all my fabric and my yarn and craft things.
I am out on the glider which is a lovely spot. I also love the porch where I am protected from the sun - when it is out.
