I went to the yarn shop but Ziomara wasn't coming in until 3:00pm so I left and stopped to have a cold drink and an empanada. When I went to leave my big red bag hit the glass and knocked it over and broke it. I set everything down and picked up all the big pieces. I called the waitress over and she swept up the tiny pieces. I said I was sorry and headed out. They called me back and I figured they were going to charge me for the glass. No, they just wanted me to pay for what I ate. I don't know where my brain was.
That settled I headed for the fabric shop where I picked up some ribbon and cording. I got home and texted Emilio to see if he wanted to have coffee and see all the goodies I bought as he will be helping with the class. He didn't have an English class today so he came over. He suggested I get liquid silicone glue to glue everything on the sticks so we went looking. The Super only had little bottles so we went to the department store across the street. I got one big bottle and 4 little ones. I am thinking of doing a class 11/30 for the neighbors and 12/4 at the senior center. Then we went to Friends of Orosi for a cold drink. I am not sure what I had but it was tall and cold and creamy and very good.
While we were sitting at the cafe I got an idea and asked if his family would like to join me for Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. I am not sure it will be turkey as although they are available here, they are very expensive. I may just go with a couple whole chicken.
Dona Rosa, one of the ladies from the senior center and church walked by and I waved and she came and talked with us. I want to invite her for thanksgiving also. And Gerardo and Tia and Katherine and her family from the hotel. I don't think 2 chickens are going to do it. I will have to have it in one of the other areas as I don't have enough room in my house. I told Emilio that grandmama can come too but not all the cousins.
Tomorrow is a work on the tree day as I need it done this Sunday. I am invited to Emilio's house on Wednesday for lunch and my massage Thursday morning and Dona Alicia's at 2:00pm for our cooking lesson. A busy week!
All my goodies. I need to cut down more branches.
There are 17 sticks but ours will be more like 11 to make them a little smaller.
I just got a call from Emilio and I am invited to the pools outside town tomorrow morning. I will have to be very careful not to get sunburned.
