It was a very rainy day but I got lots done and had two visits.

Tia hasn't been out and about much this week but she was today. First we met at the mandarina tree for a little talk. I went away with one in my hand. Then she was out later and I motioned her over to see my stockings. Ana came also and I had to explain the mess in my living room and show them all the decorations for the trees. Later Tia came by herself with an avocado in her hand. This time it was for a long talk with her doing all the talking. I love her.
I spent most of the day working on the trees. I had bought a ball of goldish yellow string and I did one tree to figure out exactly how much I needed for each tree. These trees are smaller then the one I
made for Gerardo's father. It takes 3 yards so I got busy and cut up the entire ball. I ended up with 40 for the senior center and 5 for the neighborhood group that I supplemented with 5 gold and green that I had bought.
I put together the kits for the neighborhood ladies which include the branches, string and a bag of assorted decorations and some thin string to tie some of them on the branches. We will also have silicone glue to attach some of the things. The neighborhood ladies will be making their trees so I am done and ready for that class.
Now the 40 for the senior center. We are making the trees for this group because we are concerned it would take them too long to make the trees and decorate them. I have about 15 bags of decorations done and about the same number of tree branches tied together. I am hoping the neighborhood ladies will agree to help me make the trees. I am going to run out of a few of the decorations so I will need to pick up some additional things tomorrow in Paraiso or Monday in Cartago.
Tomorrow I will finally make it to the feria in Paraiso to see what I can pick up for Thanksgiving. I plan to get the 9:15am bus. Hopefully the rain will hold off until I get back. It will be my first time checking out Paraiso.

The kits for the neighborhood ladies.
