Saturday in Orosi

Courtney and Heather aqui :) 10/31: We failed our attempt to go to la feria at 9 this morning. At about 10am we had a 4.7 magnitude earthquake. That was pretty neat. Around noon we walked over a couple blocks to the ATM and got colones. $100 gets you about 53,000 colones. The money is very pretty. They all have different animals on them. Then we walked to a nursery/art shop that was also somebody's house and they had a kitty and a dog. The perro was not very nice. Gerardo's dog Francis (soggy dog) is a sweetie though, but he wants to be in your lap 24/7. Then we went and got Courtney a smoothie, Heather a cafe con leche, and got casados for lunch. We walked back to the house then sat on the porch for a couple hours making dream catchers. Then we (Heather and Courtney) ventured out in the evening. We saw two babies in costumes. We went to visit Emilio at la pizzeria and he said we could go to the market in Cartago with him on Monday or Tuesday since we missed the one in Paraiso today. Then we went to a carnerceria that also had produce and snacks so we got a few things. Then we went to the convenience store and got some more munchies. We went to el soda called Rabbits and Heather got a casado for dinner too, Courtney got papas- fries. The older lady who makes our good at Rabbits is super sweet. She gives us our to go meals on a China Christmas plate then we bring it back to her the next day with some cookies. Then we headed to the super mercado to get ketchup and hot sauce and candy. The nice guy who works there unlocked the back door for us so we could go out and be steps away from home. We ate our dinner and hung out on the porch. Courtney is the only one who is brave enough to use the hammock now. She wants to sleep out there one night. Heather said she would be brave if she weighed 5 pounds, too. Nobody can pronounce Heather or Courtney, so we have changed our names. Heather is Heidi and Courtney is Lola. Pura vida!
