No trip to the beach today.

I did plan to go and I took off early enough for the 1:30 bus to Dominical. Now I may have mentioned that every bus company is at a different station and you can imagine when you don't know what company goes where you might run into a little trouble. Yup, after 2 stations I gave up. If it had been cooler I would have kept trying. Instead I stopped at a restaurant and had a lovely cool limon drink and a Casado con pollo. Something didn't quite agree with my stomach so I headed home and took a couple tums. I have eaten and drank anything including water from the faucets and this was my first problem. All better now.

I heard from Adriana today and we are working on spending a few days this weekend together. She is staying another month and looking for a more interesting area than Atenas.  Also it is so dry around Atenas that there are several fires and it can be hard on the allergies. Her love of life and her Spanish makes traveling easier and so much fun.

Tomorrow is packing day so I may not go on any long excursions. Then again I may head to the beach in the morning. It's a 1 hour trip and I can stay a couple hours and come back. It's one of the places there are several buses a day.

I can't believe 2 days without ice cream. I will definitely have to get caught up. I do have papaya and cantelope to finish before I leave - and my jelly in a bag.

I realize the Feria is tomorrow and I haven't been to one so I must go. I know I can find it, I know I can find it.
