😍
From Soda Tio Mano I went to the Mercado and checked out the stalls and merchants. Then I ran into John and Debbie and Adriana. I. Met them all at the dinner party. John and Debbie are from Prince Edward Island and Adriana lives in Texas and is from Mexico. They were taking the bus to San Jose to get bus tickets to Nicarauga and they asked if I wanted to go along. I said yes. It was 1010 colones each way and took 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. We arrived at the Coca Cola but station. Not all buses operate out of the same station. We walked to the Tico Bus Station but they didn't have good times so we all climbed in a taxi and went to the Nica Bus Station. Then we went to the Musoc Bus Station so I could get my ticket to San Isidro for April 4th. Then we had the taxi take us to a walking, shopping area. We went to the Mercado for lunch at a little stand and had some wonderful food for 2900 colones. Mine was Chicken Soup and a plate of rice. It was not soup as we know it. Great big pieces. Must have been half a chicken and a whole potato and wonderful carrot and onion. There was a vegetable that I didn't recognize but I was told it was part of the potato family. The beef stew soup had a big chunk of sweet potato. Debbie had breaded fish and she said it was the best sHe had ever had. I took pictures so hopefully I will be able to attach them.
Back on the bus and it was much busier. People were standing in the aisle. They told us this only happens on Friday. A quiet evening tonight and another move tomorrow to another B & B in this area.
