I have news!

Had a massage this morning. It wasn't just a relaxing massage but it really helped to loosen things up. I feel pretty good.
Got the call that my glasses were ready so this afternoon Debbie and I went to Paraiso to get them. Here is a picture of them along with my new haircut. There isn't a major difference in the prescription but it seems like my eyes don't have to work as hard.
We stopped in the fabric shop and since I don't know where the local bus leaves from, we took a taxi to the nursery. The driver was so great. He didn't speak English and you all know my Spanish. He only knew he was heading on the road to Wal Mart and Econo and the place has flowers. Once we got started he called someone who spoke English and had me talk to them. They then told him where I wanted to go. Got there with no problem. I think though that is the problem. People make it too easy for me. We now have seeds for celery, peppers, lettuce and parsley. I also couldn't resist 3 flower plants. I love them!
I knew where we needed to catch the bus, about a block down and across the street. The first green bus I motioned my arm and he kept on going so we knew it would be a half hour. Debbie said there was no way he was not stopping next time because she would be standing out in the road. We decided if he didn't stop we would have to take the local bus to Paraiso and then the Orosi bus. The locals between Cartago and Paraiso go about every 5 minutes. He did stop so we didn't have to resort to that.
And, the big news is Heather and Kent are rebooked for Feb. 15-25 so, everyone mark it on your calendar for Feb. 14 to pray like mad that there isn't any bad weather to delay them. On the way back I got off the bus at the church stop so I could walk by the hardware store and check if Gerardo was there. He was, so I was able to give him Heather's new dates - or Heidi as he calls her. I showed him my plants and he loved the hydrangea, or hortensia as it is called here. He called two other guys over to see it.
That's it, that is all my news. We plan to plant on Saturday so I will send pictures then.
