Shortly after I got home Gerardo brought a lady over to talk to me. She is the head of the senior crafting group and October is International Senior month. This is the lady I have been waiting to meet. I got out several of my dreamcatchers to show her and she asked if I would be willing to teach a class. 41 people! I said I would be happy to but I thought we should break it into 2 groups. So, October 16 and 23 is when it is scheduled. We have a meeting scheduled for this coming Friday at 10:00am to go over things and for the lady who will help with the Spanish to come talk with me. Thankfully I have tons of feathers, ribbons and thread for the web. The only thing I don't have is lots of beads. I bought lots when I was in the states but that was part of the 40 pounds I had to leave with Heather. She will bring it the end of October. Gerardo will have to get busy cutting down bamboo as I will have to soak it and shape it before the classes.
Then the church group met here today. I have had lively music all evening. A good day all the way around.
I went over to the pizza shop to check what had happened to Emelio last Thursday. He felt so bad. He didn't have my number to call me. He didn't sleep well and got up with a headache so didn't come bake. He has an English lesson on Monday so we are meeting at 3:00pm for coffee. His mother was there so he translated to her what we were talking about. I had forgotten to bring cookies - coconut macaroons - so I came home and got some and took them back over to them. By then there were several people in the pizza shop so I just said good bye and left. I was going to pick up milk but for the first time the Super Mercado was closed. I guess I will just have to use eggnog tomorrow morning. Did I tell you I read the box and it has alcohol in it?
Let me tell you about my toilet problem. It kept running so I told Gerardo and he checked it out and said he would bring a new part the next day. He did and installed it and away he went. It started running all the time again and now it would whine every little while. I knew I needed to get it fixed because Heather would never be able to sleep thru that when she can't sleep through my gentle snoring. I know she is laughing now. So, I call Gerardo back in the next day - it's lucky I have fresh bread and guayaba jelly and coconut macaroons. It seems to be quiet but as soon as he gets out of sight it starts running and whining. I decided it was time for me to see if I could take care of it myself. Yup, you guessed it. I can now add master plumber to my resume. No running and no whine for over 24 hours.
It was a lovely warm sunny day here in Orosi until about 7:00pm and has been raining very hard since then. May not be able to see the Blood Moon tonight.

Heather did in fact laugh out loud when she read that!
Gayle's snoring can sometimes be mistaken for industrial engines warming up. (Though apparently I can wake the dead as well.)
Congrats on your mad plumbing skills!
