Now don't get spoiled.

I do not plan to write everyday. Yesterday I even left the house and went to town, and for a walk. First we walked to the river and the creek to check them. Then I grabbed a bag and went walking around the property looking for fruit. I came across Grandpa and asked him what this particular fruit is. It looks like grapefruit and he said it is very good in drinks. I remember Jose's caution that you never pick and eat fruit unless you know what it is. I figure Grandpa knows. I told him I am looking for guayaba for jelly and the next thing you know my bag is full. There are several guayaba trees by la bodega and they are loaded with fruit. I may not need to walk along the road collecting fruit. This afternoon will be jelly making. Ziomara was going to come today but she has to take her car to be fixed so we postponed till next Saturday.

So, yesterday afternoon Pups and I headed for the bus and I sat and waited and he sniffed and peed around the area. When the bus came I got on and then the fun started. Pups got on too and before the driver managed to get the door closed, Pups had been put off the bus 3 times. Everyone was laughing. After doing all my shopping I took a taxi home and saw Pups halfway home. By the time I got to the yard he was here.

So the naughty Pups has decided that instead of sleeping on the front step he should sleep in my cactus planter. Not so good for all my little cactus. This morning it looked so bad I have moved all the plants from the end closest to the door. We will see if that is enough. He really needs a dog house right in front of my house.  Seems he can't guard me and the house from the towel on the couch on the back deck. And he does take his guarding job very seriously.

The other difficulty is getting his medicine in his ears. He hates it but it must be helping because he isn't itching and crying. Haven't seen any fleas the last few brushing so that is better too. He does love to be brushed.

That's life in Rio Macho. Last night there was a beautiful full moon. Jose called and told me to go outside quick to see it. Yesterday and again today are beautiful sunny days. It is great to have little rain for a few days.
