Why do the Adriana stories always start with that? It will have to wait until tomorrow though because I am exhausted. It was a really really good day though and I think I have found my place to stay. Orosi. I loved it and we even managed to look at a couple rentals.
TRAVEL. As much as you can. As far as you can. As long as you can. Life's not meant to be lived in one place.

Did I mention???
This mansion of mine has an indoor pool and hot tub and an exercise room
with sauna. Adriana and I were trying to come up with ideas to save the place and we think it would make an amazing Event Center. Picture the bride coming down that staircase. Or a girls weekend with the pool and hot tub and massages and sauna or a family reunion with lots for the kids to do. There are just so many possibilities. So here you go. Plan on Georgina's House for your next destination event.
Can you imagine this in the U.S.?
One of the things that has amazed me and that I am enjoying is how open and welcoming and trusting the people here are. In Atenas the house was unlocked, no one was around and the keys to the room I was to have were in the door. 5 minutes after I got here yesterday Carlos said "I am leaving and I will be back in an hour." He gave me a key and away he went. There isn't anyone else here!
On a funnier side, there is a shelving unit in the kitchen that looks like it is for recycling. On the top shelf are beer bottles, on the bottom shelf are beer cans and on the middle shelf is a wine bottle. I guess I stumbled into a luxurious bachelor pad! I love it. I am the house mother.
One thing I have discovered.
Since I have been in Costa Rica I have discovered that I can sleep through almost anything and if I do wake up I can go right back to sleep. For instance this morning it was what sounded like bombs and the worst cat fight ever that really got all the neighborhood dogs going. Pretty much all of my stays have been close to the center of the cities and Costa Ricans are known for living life out loud. Dogs serve as their alarm systems and lots of life is lived outdoors.
It is lucky I am such an easy going flexible person because I think our plans are changing faster than I can post them. I keep hearing of the beauty of Orosi, and it is only 45 minutes from Cartago so the current plan is to go there today, spend another night in Cartago and go to San Ramon tomorrow. Keep posted, things could very easily change again.
Carlos is serving breakfast at 7:30 so I will make sure there is no problem with me staying another night. I would be very sad if I didn't know I was coming back since I only have 1 more night here, 2 in San Ramon, 1 in Alajelua and then back to Minnesota. Costa Rica has definitely grown on me and more than anything it's people. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
