Today was crochet ladies and sewing ladies but only Janet and Ligia Sanches came. And Dora. I don't always get things right. When Dora showed me a crocheted afghan I thought she made it. That was why I invited her to join us. Turns out she doesn't know how but she would like to learn. Ligia was great about teaching her and Dora took a little yarn with her to practice.
I showed both Janet and Ligia my idea of making hats to sell and they were both very agreeable. I will talk to Ziomara about other things besides hats also.
I showed them the picture of the girl in the long dress and Ligia is making a hat we think might go with it. She crochets very fast and will bring it to me Thursday by 2:00pm so I can take it with me to Paraiso. They loved the new yarns and I explained there would be lots more coming in December with Heather.
I made sandwiches with French bread. They had cheese, seasoned tomato slices, avocado and refrigerator pickles. I also had the muffins and some crisps I got at the bakery. Dora had to leave early so I sent her off with a to go bag and the other ladies took some with them also. I was expecting 7 and there were only 3 so I had plenty.
I also told them about the Thanksgiving dinner and invited them and the sewing ladies. Janet was at last year's dinner so she knows about it and can explain to the others.
I did explain to Janet that there would be no more sewing. One of the machines will be going to Ziomara and the other one I will use.
If you live in Costa Rica, or know someone who does, and they need a hat because of hair loss, we have hats.
