Worth a second post

Here is my Northh Dakota planting crew - planting corn and sun flowers. He is poking holes, evenly spaced to put the seeds. Gerardo had come to me earlier to show me how many corn there were, which was good, but how few sunflower seeds there were. I went and got more packages of sunflower seeds and then he was happy. I now have 3 sides of the other end of the soccer field planted. One side, by the posts and the end are alternating corn and sunflowers. The other side is just sunflowers. It has all been treated with disinfectant 

He is making holes for the seeds.

My pineapple plantation which now has 4 pineapple, mint, mojito herb and 3 areas of peas. They didn't do well in my garden. We will see how they do here. Pineapple grows very slowly so it works to plant other things around it.

Even the banana trees have been trimmed today.

I figure I have a pretty fancy looking corn field. I am not sure how much rain it will get as there is a little overhang so I will need to keep an eye on it.

Grandpa Perlinger would be so proud of me although I didn't do much to help this morning. Some weeding and a little planting and taking piles to the compost. I do want to plant new seeds in my flower patch. I still have a bunch of packets.

Laundry is done and mowing and gardening is done so La Quinta is quiet again. Ana is back so the walk is over. She said going over the mountains she got very tired. I let her know there are all kinds of vegetables on the mystery vine in the garden. It and the papaya trees are the only things that grow there. The 2 trees are so big I may have to remove the zarong.

I may head out for a bus ride this afternoon. I really do want to get a taste of Cartago.
